KRO Product Description and Use.

We are there!  We have the first production run of our new KPRO product line.  We want to give you some details of the new products prior to them now that they are available.

The planned release of the KPRO product line was October 1, 2013.  Our team surprised me by finishing a few days early.  I am so proud of this team.  The surprises are always good!

 Just as a refresher, Keys has introduced a new series of Hollywood inspired products named KPRO or Keys Professional line.  Keys KPRO products use OptiFX™ Adaptive Color Technology to provide an illusionary appearance creating the hot trendy nude bare skin look in a 1-step chemical-free foundation.

Developed in concert with Hollywood makeup artists and filmmakers, this correction cream fills, hides fine lines and skin imperfections.  The technology literally copies and clones skin color, tone and texture transmitting vital characteristics to neighboring skin.  Like a virtual projector, 1 micron organic and plant-based structures transmit a smooth and vibrant skin finish.

Keys patentable technology works to reflect, refract and smooth skin tones adapting to light changes and environments automatically.  This is a true anti-aging product because rarefied ingredients help condition, moisturize and reverse skin aging as well as providing the cosmetic effects.  This is a revolutionary 1-step foundation with optical technology that transforms even lifeless skin to exciting dewy beauty.

We developed all the new products to fit specific needs and to act as a series of very simple solutions.  The six new products are all different and will act as a base foundation for the face permitting just the addition of eye, lip and cheek color for a fast out-the-door vibrant look.  Even though it is fast, these product are not a compromise in any way.  They provide a Hollywood finish that will stand up to the revealing nature of high definition cameras.

These are skin health enhancing products that smooth, hide, and beautify the face neck and hands.  They all act to brighten the skin to a higher level of vibrancy.

So here are the super six new products from Keys that start the KPRO line.

KPRO Correction Tinted Cream

The entire KPRO line was born because of a request for a Beauty Balm that filled fine lines and imperfections.  The pros call it a correction cream and it is used to smooth out the skin.  Attempted to use currently available beauty balms and correction creams would not work because the newest high definition cameras could see the cream with its larger particles.  These cameras are now reaching the high definition levels of the human eye and these cakey looking creams do not look good in person and now unacceptable for TV and film.

What we did is to take our Luminos and go back to the drawing board resizing our Aloe Vera powder to a smaller size and developing our OptiFX™ particles in clear and colored versions.  OptiFX are spherical porcelain-like particles about 1 micron to 15 microns in size depending on the color effect we want to achieve.  Even at 15 microns, our particle size is impossible to see without using a powerful microscope and therefore are invisible to the unaided eye.

Apply a thin layer of the KPRO Correction Cream to start.  Then add more in areas that need attention.  As you add more, it will layer-up as needed.  Most of our tests on men and women who have average skin only needed one covering thin application.  Those that had fine lines need more to help in specific areas.

What is also important is to not forget that the base lotion we developed from our Luminos is skin rejuvenating and enhancing.  KPRO Correction Cream is a true skin health product with the added functionality of correcting imperfections and smoothing the finish of the face.

KPRO Correction Cream is also good for the neck, décolleté and hands.

Use:  KPRO Correction Cream is designed to fill in fine lines.  It should be applied to the skin directly in light layers focusing on areas with imperfections, lines and creases.  As with all KPRO products, less is more!  This is especially true with KPRO Correction Cream.  Layer lightly and evenly.  It is best to wash and tone the skin before applying our CC.  It can be applied to slightly wet of dry skin depending on the look you are trying to achieve.  It can be combined with KPRO Tinted Moisturizer and Tinted Eye Cream for a complete and even look.  KPRO CC is designed to refract the light around and near fine lines and wrinkles.  There is a filler component that will fill the lines and creases, but be careful to not over do the thickness of the layers.  Too much sparkle in direct light usually means that you have applied too much.

KPRO Tinted Moisturizer

The KPRO Tinted Moisturizer has been a requested product for many years.  People asked us to add color to our Luminos and we did to create this new product.

We added a very specific variety of our OptiFX™ particle to enhance skin color by cloning the surrounding skin color and texture.  Optically, the OptiFX™  particle grabs the color and texture of nearby skin and then it diffuses, blends and projects the color and texture to neighboring skin.  The tint looks to be a typical ivory color, but that is based on the OptiFX™ particle when it is in pre-application.  Once applied, it begins to match and mirror the skins color and texture.  Think of it as millions of microscopic water drops diffusing and brightening the skin.

What is also important is to not forget that the base lotion we developed from our Luminos is skin rejuvenating and enhancing.  KPRO Tinted Moiturizer is a true skin health product with the added functionality of moisturizing, tinting and smoothing the finish of the face.

KPRO Tinted Moisturizer is also good for the neck, décolleté and hands.

This is an amazing product for men because it provides moisture while smoothing the finish of the skin without looking like they are wearing makeup.  Applying a thin layer lasts all day and has long lasting health effects on the skin keeping men looking younger longer.

Use: KPRO Tinted Moisturizer is design to be used as a base foundation with our without liquid or mineral makeup foundation.  It is relatively transparent for the nude dewy look by itself or under foundation to create a iridescent under-layer finish.  As in all KPRO products, less is more, so layer lightly building up areas that need more brightening and to reduce shadows created by fine lines.  It is best to use KPRO Tinted Moisturizer after washing with Island Rx Foaming wash and toning with AguaVit.  It can be applied to slightly wet skin for a smoother even finish or to dry skin for more amplification.  Apply thin even layers to achieve the look you want as a pure foundation or layer liquid or mineral foundation over it to get the look you want.  By itself, KPRO Tinted Moisturizer will create a iridescent dewy look.  Under liquid or mineral foundation, it will add a healthy youthful glow to the skin.   For sun protection, layer Solar Rx over KPRO Tinted Moisturizer or use KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen  for a one-pass application.  If you want to use a liquid foundation or mineral makeup, use it on top of KPRO Tinted Moisturizer.  Again, too much sparkle means that you have probably used too much KPRO product.  KPRO Tinted Moisturizer is a semi-transparent illusionary product designed to create subtle youthful dewy appearance.  KPRO Tinted Moisturizer works in conjunction with KPRO Tinted Eye Cream and KPRO HD Powder to create a final finish.  This is a artistic product which means that you should experiment with it for the look and results you want.

KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen

A slight second to make a tinted moisturizer was a tinted moisturizer with SPF sunscreen.  Our Solar Rx moisturizer with sun protection was derived from our Luminos adding 20.5% uncoated zinc oxide that was specifically developed to not have a white cast on the skin.  In this new KPRO product, it was not an easy step to just add the OptiFX™ particles to Solar Rx.  To maintain the efficacy of this everyday sunscreen, we had to blend and size the mixture of zinc oxide and the OptiFX particle not enhance, but moreover increase the UV physical blocking.

Place a half-marble size dollop in your hand and evenly apply to the entire face making sure that you have even coverage.  You may also apply to the décolleté and your hands for moisture and protection.

Please keep in mind that this is not a go to beach or active use sunscreen.  It is a cosmetic moisturizer designed for everyday use.

Use: KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen has the same effects as KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with the addition of SPF 30+ UVA & UVB Broad Spectrum sun protection.  Use it first after washing with Island Rx Foaming wash and toning with AguaVit.  Use it on dry skin to assure an even coat for sun protection.  Apply liquid makeup carefully as to not thin the sun protection over KPRO.  Mineral makeup foundation and color can be applied over KPRO.  KPRO powders can be applied over top as well.

KPRO Tinted Eye Cream

The KPRO Tinted Eye Cream was inspired by our Eye Butter, but it stops there.  A quick look at the ingredient list of the two products and you will see that the KPRO Tinted Eye Cream is more like Luminos than Eye Butter.  The “why” is that adding OptiFX™ particles to a thicker transparent Shea Butter based cream would cause creasing and a blotchy look.   This product was designed specifically for around the eye use as a moisturized and to optically reverse skin aging by creating a brightening effect to the eyes.  The enhancing properties smooth the finish of the eye area and is also designed to “grab” eye makeup acting as a defining base requiring less eye makeup.  The base lotion also acts as a shield reducing conventional makeup chemicals getting through to the skin.

Apply KPRO Tinted Eye Cream with your ring finger around the entire eye.  Use a layering technique to build areas requiring more coverage.  If you wear eye makeup, remember less is more for both the eye cream and the makeup.  You will notice that eye makeup is easier to apply, faster and with a smooth finish using the KPRO Tinted Eye Cream.

This is great product for men because it provides moisture while smoothing the finish of the skin around the eyes  Men have long been big fans of eye butter, but asked for a smoother better feel.

KPRO Tinted Eye Cream is also good for the lips as a lipstick foundation.

Use:  KPRO Tinted Eye Cream is designed to be used as a correction cream and visual enhancer around the eyes.  It adds higher levels of Shea butter in a Keys Eye Bitter formulation to enhance the appearance of the eyes.  Artistically applyKPRO Tinted Eye Cream and blend with eye shadow or not.  Apply the Tinted Eye Cream in light layers to get the desired look.  Then blend color if desired.  Add masquera last.  Blend with KPRO Tinted Moisturizer or KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen.

KPRO Tinted HD Powder

We love the dewy look and balked at the idea of a powder product.  What we discovered in testing in Hollywood is that our lovable makeup artists would use conventional HD Powders from Makeup Forever or MAC to dust down shiny areas.  This drove our engineers crazy for two unsettling reasons.  One, these manufactures us silica powder which is of health concern and dehydrating.  The second reason is that these high definition powders were causing our OptiFX™ particles to lose their visual appeal.

The KPRO Tinted HD Powder adds a tiny bit of sparkle compared to our HD Powder that is untinted.  The effect is not a shimmer, but random tiny microscopic sparkles that catch the eye occasionally but without the noticeable sparkle from glitter style creams or powders.  I guess you could say that it is a hint of sparkle and much smaller sparkles when you catch one.  Certainly a fun and alluring look.  Use it on top of color to mute and enchant.

Our KPRO Tinted HD (high definition) Powder was developed using two simple and natural ingredients.  We blend our OptiFX™ particles with a very finely ground arrowroot powder developed for us to match the size of our OptiFX™ particle and to enhance the effect that we create.

Most important is that the OptiFX™ particles used in KPRO Tinted HD Powder are the Same as used in our tinted moisturizers.  The optical effects are amplified and match each others effects.  Experiment as you like.

Use a blunt point natural brush or Kabuki brush and lightly dip into the KPRO Tinted HD Powder.  We do not use a sifter element so that the brush can grab the powder in an irregular pattern.  Flicking the brush is not required or recommended.  Lightly brush or pop onto the areas of the skin where you need some “glare” reduction to reduce shine.  Be careful to not overdo the powder because too much will deaden the look of the skin.  Remember dewy means dewy.

Use: KPRO Tinted Powder adds sparkle to finish completed makeup as a last step adding color and a iridescent finish.  Use extraordinarily lightly even dusting the skin lightly and then brushing with a large soft dry brush (Kabuki style).   This is an artistic finish that interacts with soft and hard light differently creating a glancing illusion catching the eye of the observer.  This is a highly artistic product that is easy to use.

KPRO HD Powder (Untinted)

Many of our makeup artist want to use a transparent and clear powder to enhance areas as a neutral foundation as well as absorb oil.  We combine our transparent optical effects version of our OptiFX™ particle with a very fine mesh arrowroot powder to enhance the optical effects is discrete areas and to absorb excess oil.

KPRO HD Powder can be used under color eye, lip and cheek makeup to enhance and smooth the color.  It can be used on top of our OptiFX™ based moisturizer to reduce shine.

Optionally our makeup artist will heavy dip a large fan brush and blow the HD Powder onto the face as a last step after final makeup.  This makes the natural ingredients all the more important.

This powder is technically transparent when applied to the skin.  The particles soften the look and finish.

Use:  KPRO HD Powder is a natural answer to high definition powders like Makeup Forever HD.  It should be lightly applied or blown on and brushed out with a large dry brush. (Kabuki style)  Apply it over KPRO Tinted Moisturizer or KPRO Tinted Moisturizer with Sunscreen.  It can be applied over liquid or mineral foundation to create an iridescent appeal.  Heavier for night time sparkle.
